My thoughts on UFC on FX 8, which is a slightly above average UFC card.
Samer Kadi joins the Man Cave to preview UFC on FX 8, which features a potential #1 contender’s fight in the middleweight division, a very good lightweight fight, and a fighter we both love. In other words, if we’re talking about just the main card, it’s an above average card. Plus Samer breaks the news to me that Nick Diaz is thinking of starting his own MMA promotion.
Samer Kadi takes over the Man Cave to look back at UFC on Fuel 4 and Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy. We sing the praises of Chris Weidman (although don’t suggest him facing Anderson Silva) for his performance again Mark Munoz before barely talking about the rest of the card since it all felt pretty unimportant. Then we move on to even more unimportant events, which is reviewing a Strikeforce show. While there were some good performances, it’s just so hard to care about an organization that does everything wrong and will be dead by the end of the year. Plus Samer reviews my Taylor Swift karaoke performance, which is far more awesome than any fight that took place over the last week.
A review of Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy, which featured some good fights that really don’t seem to matter in the big picture because it’s Strikeforce and most of these guys should be in the UFC.
Preview of Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy, which features a pretty decent card that you can watch by checking your local listings.
The best in the business Samer Kadi joins the Man Cave to preview UFC on Fuel 4 and Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy. Even though he claimed to only spend 3 minutes breaking down Mark Munoz vs. Chris Weidman, Samer spends 10 minutes talking about the fight and changes his prediction 50 times. Then we spend 3 minutes talking about the rest of the card, which is so bad that not even the UFC knows which fights will be on the main card. Then we’ll preview this Saturday’s Strikeforce card, which is good on paper, but it’s also a Strikeforce card. Also, for no real reason, we go off on a tangent to bury Mike Goldberg.
