I’ve been a wrestling fan for 20 years. Through all the ups and downs of the business, I tune in every Monday in hopes of being entertained for three hours. This year I will finally get to go to Wrestlemania. This is the peak for any wrestling fan. This is the Super Bowl of wrestling, the biggest sports entertainment event of the years. Needless to say, I’m pretty excited. But right now I’m only “experience excited.” I’m excited just to be at Wrestlemania. To go to all the fan events, to be surrounded by wrestling fans, and to witness the Wrestlemania spectacle.
I’d like to see a good show as well.
So with Elimination Chamber out of the way and the Road To Wrestlemania having officially started, every week I’m going to update my excitement level on the matches that are taking place at Wrestlemania based on how well WWE does selling me on things.
Larry Csonka joins the Man Cave to preview this Sunday’s WWE Elimination Chamber event. We’ll rundown all the matches, discuss the booking, and give our picks. Plus, we’ll talk about the Dish Network and WWE dispute, the WWE/NBC Universal TV rights, the WWE Network, and potential plans for Wrestlemania.
Larry Csonka joins the Man Cave to preview this weekend’s WWE Royal Rumble. We’ll talk about the lame job WWE has done building the show, but why it should still be a good event, plus give our thoughts on all the matches and predict the winners. And I’ll recap my weekend trip to Casa De Csonka.
Steve Cook joins the Man Cave to talk about the WWE backstage drama between Michelle Beadle, CM Punk, and AJ Lee. Plus we’ll review season 1 of Total Divas, discussing all the characters and the 100 storylines they were involved in.
Larry Csonka joins the Man Cave to look at this Sunday’s WWE Survivor Series event. We’ll discuss all the matches, talk about the booking leading up to the show, possible fallout, and give our predictions. Plus we’ll look at the bigger picture in WWE and talk about their inability to create new stars over the years.
Larry Csonka joins the Man Cave to talk some pro wrestling. We’ll look back at Extreme Rules and talk about the fallout with Triple H’s concussion, Paul Heyman’s newest guy, Ryback vs. Cena, and The Shield winning gold. Then we’ll get off on a sports tangent talking about hockey memories before closing up with a short preview of TNA Slammiversery and some MMA news and notes.
Larry Csonka and Samer Kadi join the Man Cave to look back at Wrestlemania 29 and the fallout. We’ll talk about all the matches, give our thoughts on why it was an average at best show, and even hand out a few stars ratings. Plus we’ll discuss the fallout on Raw and where WWE goes from here. And finally, at the end of the podcast, I bust out some rap lyrics.
A look at how Wrestlemania 29 “really” shaped up.
Like last year, I take a “real” look at the biggest wrestling event of the year.
